About me
Clarissa is one of two Special Education Coordinators in the district. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Education at Lindenwood University. This is her 27th year in the St. Charles R-VI School District. Clarissa started her educational career as a Special Education Teacher at St. Charles High School. After twelve years of teaching, she moved to a School Psychological Examiner position where she assessed students for initial referrals to special education and re-evaluations for students with existing IEPs, for six years. Then nine years ago, Clarissa started her current position, where she enjoys the collaborative process and working with teachers to better understand DESE’s special education compliance requirements.
